Miami Search Engine Optimization

Updated: Nov 25, 2019

What is Miami SEO or Miami search engine optimization?

Miami SEO ( Miami Search Engine Optimization ) is used to optimize your Miami website to improve its position in the results obtained by the search engines when making local searches in Miami. That is, try to get your website to go first when Miami users search on Google.

Google wants to give more importance to the best Miami sites that portray what the audience needs, but that does not mean that it does not continue to focus on the basic and technical aspects of Miami Search Engine Optimization .

What is Miami Search Engine Optimization On Page?

Miami Search Engine Optimization On Page is the name given to the optimization that can be done directly on the pages of the Miami website that you try to position in the results on Google. Basically everything you can change on your site to try to appear on First in Google searches.

What is Miami Search Engine Optimization Off Page?

The Miami SEO Off Page is the name given to the optimization that is done from external Miami sites to your site. Everything you do “outside your website” to try to appear the first in Google searches (mainly get inbound links or also called backlinks ).

How does Google work?

To know what to work on you first have to know how Google's search engine works when positioning your website or blog in searches.

You always want to give the best (or the most successful) answer for what the Miami audience is looking for in the search engine.

And to do so, Google goes through a series of steps:

Google constantly crawls Miami websites (those that "let themselves" be crawled, of course ) to find out what they have. Then Google indexes all that information on its own servers to have it well organized and then access it more easily. As if it were the index of a library in which you write down what you have found and relate it to terms, entities and keywords that identify it. When someone uses the search engine, Google scrolls through its index  to see what it has saved in relation to that Miami user's search intention and can give it as an answer. Google's algorithm is in charge of ordering the information  according to how they think it can respond better to the Miami user's search and that it is more relevant. Finally, Google shows the information on the pages of search results or SERPs ( Search Engine Result Page s) according to how they think it can be more useful to the Miami user: with an answer box, a map, a list of sites, a carousel of videos, a table, etc.

How can I optimize my Miami website or Miami blog?

Let's get to the point. There are many things to keep in mind when improving your Miami web positioning, there are some points Google will take into account and that are  basic but very important :

Check if your Miami website works. Logical, right? Well, I advise you to choose the best hosting .The loading speed of your Miami website . As a rule, the web pages that load faster are the most visited, and Google will look at that. If your content is shared a lot . If your content is of quality and unique, and you also get to share a lot, then you will receive more visits; This way Google will understand that people like it and position it better. The user behavior on your website or blog. Google also knows if the user has found your site from the search engine and if it has served him for what he was looking for .

In addition to these tips, there are some basic notions that many "gurus" take for granted and eventually end up not being taken into account. But these simple aspects are the foundations of Miami Search Engine Optimization on your website and on the most expensive and beautiful website you have ever seen.

Friendly URLs

The URLs of your Miami website or Miami blog have to be "friendly", that is, they are simple and suggest the content of the page .

In WordPress you can change this from the Settings menu > Permanent links , where you can choose between several options. Some are NOT friendly at all , others are friendly and others are (at least for me) the friendliest .

If your website or blog has been using a pattern of URLs for a long time, don't change it.

Think that these URLs will already be positioned in Google and other sites may be linking them. If you change them, you have to make sure to redirect the URLs with the old pattern to their corresponding new pattern.

So you know, it doesn't matter if you decide to create a blog on your own, in Blogger, WordPress, Joomla or any other platform; don't forget to make your URLs "friendly". They are better for search engine optimization in Miami.

Titles

The titles of your pages and articles are very important, because it is one of the first things that Google will look to know if your content has to do with what the user is looking for .

It will also be the first thing you see in the search engine results, so:

Be clear and direct ; Choose a title that defines the content of the page well. Create unique titles for the different pages that your Miami website or blog has.Write a title that does not exceed 70 characters , because otherwise Google will cut it in the search results.Try to write the most important and descriptive word at the beginning of the title. If you are going to separate specific phrases or words, use symbols.

Descriptions

Like titles, it is very important to put descriptions on all pages and articles of your Miami website or blog.

In fact, all the recommendations that I have commented for SEO of the title are also valid for the description, although in this case the limit of the characters that are then shown in the Google results can change according to the search made by the user.

Normally the limit for descriptions was  up to 156 characters , but with the changes Google made it can now reach 320 characters .

My advice is that you make a description of 1 or 2 short and clear sentences based on the title itself , then over time you check if Google shows them or puts another description, and with  Search Console you  analyze if people click on your result or If you think you can better adapt the description to the search that suits you best.

As you will see, in my descriptions I usually also add emojis and other symbols to try to capture the user's attention

Header tags

Another Search engine optimization tip is that Google doesn't just look at your links, titles and descriptions; Also look for the header tags that contain your pages and articles.

These are the titles and subtitles that you use when writing to organize your content and that in HTML you will recognize with the tags <h1>, <h2>, <h3> ... until <h6>.

The <h1> tag is the largest and makes the text much larger, while the <h6> is the smallest and has the smallest text. As larger tags are often used to put the most important things, Google will look more at these tags to find out what your content is about:

My advice is not to abuse the most important labels . Simply organize your text with logic and common sense :

<h1>: use it as if it were the title of your content, so putting it once is more than enough.<h2>: keep it in mind to divide your page or article into the most important sections. Surely you do not need more than 4 or 5. It is advisable to use them with long tail keywords .<h3>: If the content of each section is very extensive, try to divide it into sub-sections with this label. If this is your case, I don't think you need to use it more than 10 times. Here you can use long-long tails.<h4> to <h6>: unless you are writing a doctoral thesis or a book, I think that reaching this level of organization can be counterproductive. You can use it sometimes in very specific cases, but honestly, if your content is not very extensive I don't think you need them.

Keywords

"Keywords" or keywords are those with which you want the user to find your Miami content when they search on Google. To do this you have to choose the ones that best suit the topic you write about, look for others related to this same topic that may be of interest and use them with your head on your content.

It is also recommended that you use them in the sections that I have explained before ( URLs, titles, descriptions, headings ... ) so that Google finds it better. In this way, when a miami user searches on that topic and uses any of those keywords, Google will consider whether or not your website has them.

For example, if you write an article to recommend the best Miami website designer , a good tip in your search engine optimization strategy may be to use the keywords "best" and "web designer."

Queries - Google Search Console

My advice is not to get obsessed with keywords . There are analyzers, tools, density meters, word counters ... The truth is that I think it is much simpler than all that.

It is clear that you have to use keywords and related concepts to let Google know what your content is about, but is it not logical that you end up using all these keywords when writing about a specific topic?

The best thing search engine optimization you can do is write your content naturally , without thinking of keywords.

Check it when you're done, and then yes, you can analyze what they are.

When you have them, you can substitute words or phrases with your keywords , define titles and subtitles with those keywords, answer specific questions, etc; but be careful, take care that the phrase or paragraph does not lose the meaning you wanted to give it.

Link profile

Nowadays, links (the link building ) are vital for web positioning, because it is the best way for Google to «understand» that if other websites are linked to it, it is because they give it a vote of confidence. They believe they have interesting information or can help their users in something.

That's why the link profile (or link profile ) of a site tells Google a lot about the quality that Miami site can have; if they link relevant Miami sites in the same sector, if they link "important" and trusted sites, etc.

And you also have to pay special attention to the anchor text or anchor text that is used to link to your site or its pages, because it also helps Google to better understand what searches it might be interesting to position yourself.

Other important details

Use images: images improve your Miami search engine positioning and attract many more visits to your Miami website. Do not forget something as simple as giving your images a good name or giving them an alternative text (attribute «alt»).

Write unique and quality content: it  can be the key to improving your web positioning. All this sounds very beautiful, but it is true as a temple. Google loves that the content is useful, original and, if possible, complete and well designed .

Choose a good Miami website design: that attracts visitors, that allows you to view your Miami website from tablets and smartphones and that facilitates browsing your website . Try to make the user "at ease" and want to stay.

Promote your content: share your pages and articles on social networks (including posting ads on Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.),  create a subscriber list and participate in communities related to your website, etc. Make them know you!

In truth there are not many more "secrets" than having all these things in mind.

When you get used to writing on your search engine optimized website or blog using the details that I have explained, you will see that your web positioning will improve considerably . Then you will realize that many times we believe that Miami Search Engine Optimization is complicated and difficult, when in truth it is common sense, make you want and spend time.

If in your case you do not feel like it, let alone take time , the best thing you can do is let  someone with experience do a MiamiSEO audit and help you position your site. It's up to you.

But remember:

A basic and simple Miami Search Engine Optimization  can put you in the top positions
